Review | September Glossybox

So, it’s that time of the month again, the September Glossybox arrived through my door this morning and i couldn’t wait to dive in and see what was inside.

I have been signed up to glossybox for a few months now and i can honestly say this has been the best box i have recieved to date especially compared to this one and this one.

This month the box itself is red in partnership with Red Magazine and it makes a nice change, although i do really love the pink boxes aswell.

So let’s have a look what’s inside my Glossybox for September, shall we…

Vitamasques Hydro Face Mask

This mask claims to provide 120 hours of hydration to your skin after just one use. I’m not sure whether or not that is true, nor have i used it yet, but judging from the packaging it’s one of those gel stick on masks. It comes in two halves, top and bottom of your face and has to left on the skin for 30 minutes. The hubbie cannot wait to see me in this as he says it reminds him of something from a horror movie. I’ll keep you all posted about how that goes! This mask retails for just over €9.00

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask

It was nice to see that this mask was included as a FREE sample for a change. Glossybox had a tendency for a while of including piddly little samples and passing them off as an item included, so i was happy that this was not the case this time. Again i haven’t used this mask yet, the card it came with doesn’t really offer much information on this, but i have used charcoal type masks in the past and they have left my skin feeling amazing. Again i’ll keep you all posted when i do  try out this mask.

The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm

A rich nourishing balm infused with shea butter, pomegranate, rose hip and vitamin E to protect and restore the lips. This lip balm tastes and smells amazing, it gives a lovely shine and felt nice on, not too sticky and gunky. It doesn’t last for very long on the lips but it is a lip treatment after all, not a gloss. What i don’t like about this product is i have only used it a handful of times and already the tube is nearly empty, which is disappointing considering the price tag on it is €12.00

Catrice Cosmetics Volumising Lip Booster

I have been using Catrice make up products for years so when i saw this little beauty hiding at the bottom of the box, i was delighted to try it out. I’m not normally a fan of lip gloss, it’s sticky and gloopy and my hair gets stuck to it, but this one is nice. It made my lips look fuller and glossy without being sticky and slimy. It does make your lips tingle when it’s on, but i actually find it nice, it doesn’t sting like other lip plumping products that i have tried. This retails for €3.95

Rodial Smoky Eye Pen

On the card that came in the box it claimed that you could create a neat, jet black line or blend with the smudging brush with this gel textured pen. However, after searching and almost pulling the end of the pen off i discovered that there is no smudging brush anywhere on this pen, so that was a bit confusing. Anyway, about the pen itself. It’s a black eye liner, don’t really have anything to shout from the roof tops about it. It glides on really nicely, it is really jet black. Yep, a black eyeliner which retails for around €20.

Too Faced Better than Sex Waterproof Mascara

I was so excited to see this in the box, i have heard so many great reviews about this mascara, and i’ve always wanted to try it. The price tag has always put me off buying it before i’ve actually had the chance to try it out, so i couldn’t wait to use this. Can i just say. It didn’t disappoint, I Love this mascara, it’s not at all clumpy and goes on so nice. The brush itself is hourglass shaped and makes it so easy to apply and the results. Oh My Goodness, you can see the results below for yourself. I will definatley be buying the full size version of this which retails for €23.

So that’s what was in my  September Glossybox. I was a happy camper with my products this month. It’s nice that i’ll actually be able to use everything for a change.
